You Know the Drill

Fine art photo of an anitque brace and bit
Another antique tool from my father’s tool box – a brace and bit set. The brace has the date “December 30, 1884” and was manufactured by the “Peck Stow & Wilcox Co” and is marked as “Patented Sept 13, 1881.”

A Pair of Monkey Wrenches

Fine art photo of a pair of antique monkey wrenches manufactured by the Coes Wrench Co, Photo by Craig Stocks

These two old monkey wrenches were in a tool box I inherited from my father, which I believe he inherited from his father. The wrenches seem to date back to around 1900, perhaps earlier.

Kaleidoscope Escape

"Kaleidoscope Escape" - a fine art image by Craig Stocks showing a woman trapped between two mirrors

I love to experiment in the studio. In this case it was to explore what happens when the subject is sandwiched between two mirrors.  The effect here creates a kaleidoscope of reflections and creates the illusion that the model is escaping from inside.

Dreams in B&W

Black and white fine art figure photo by Craig Stocks showing the graceful curves of the female form
This image actually came to me in a dream a few days ago. I don’t think I’ve ever had that happen before, but I’m glad it did.

As with most of my fine art abstract figures the lighting was done with a simple LED flashlight. I love the light effect that creates – you just can’t duplicate it with traditional studio lighting.
