Graphically Simple, Technically Precise
I define my art photography style as “graphically simple, technically precise” and this image is a good illustration of that. I love the interplay of silhouette and highlight positioned against the split background.

A Fine Art Photo Shows the Magic of Twilight
This fine art photograph is a montage of three separate frames showing the transition from twilight into night time. Scientifically speaking the three time frames are civil twilight (left side), nautical twilight (right side) and astronomical twilight (top). Artistically speaking the image illustrates the city’s transition from dusk to dark when the lights glitter and reflect in the Illinois River and the stars reveal themselves overhead.
