A Busy 44 Minutes in Peoria

Star trails, LifeFlight helicopter streak and an Iridium flare during 44 minutes over the skyline of Peoria, Illinois, Fine art photo by Craig Stocks

This photo captures a 44 minute time span on the evening of Sunday, September 10, 2017. The star trails make it obvious that some amount of time passed. Also visible in the photo were other events during that 44 minutes including the LifeFlight helicopter coming in to land at one of the hospitals and fireworks along the riverfront. There was also an Iridium flare created when the sun┬áreflected off of the Iridium 31 satellite’s solar panel.
