Wave Foam in Motion

Maui, Hawaii wave foam in motion at sunset, fine art photograph by Craig Stocks

Slow shutter speeds are frequently used to show the motion of waves crashing onto a beach but in this image I reversed the process. Rather than letting the wave be blurred I moved the camera along with the wave to keep it in focus while the sand and everything else became blurred by the motion. Needless to say it took over a hundred tries to get one or two that worked.

About Craig

I have a passion to create, and I'm fascinated with the tools and technologies of creativity. I strive to produce images that are graphically simple and technically precise in order to render beautiful photographic fine art prints. I work with a variety of digital transformations to create a finished image that reflects my artistic interpretation.
